PTO cable, That engages the mowing deck.
First, disconnect and remove the battery and battery support hangers.

Second, using a pair of needle nose pliers, reach down inside the battery compartment, on the right side and squeeze the cable retaining barb, and push slightly down until it\'s out. Then lift and rotate the cable end until it slips out of the upper socket.

Next, remove cable from the cable support notch on the left side of the battery compartment. It should just slip up. If not, using the needle nose pliers, slightly bend it open.

Next, Lower the deck to the lowest setting.

Moving to the front of the mower, Remove the Spring clip or cotter pin hold the front deck pivot rod and allow the deck to rest on the ground,

Moving to the left side of the mower, Remove the spring clip or cotter pin from the deck lifter arm and allow to rest on the ground.

Slide the deck to the rear and right as far as possible.

Follow the cable to the portion of the deck where it clips to the cable support bracket. Remove the spring clip or cotter pin and push the cable forward and up out of the socket.

Now, this is the most difficult part of this project. At the end of the cable is a large spring with a hook on the end. You\'ll want to lift the back side and push down to cause it to exit it\'s slot. The Blade belt WILL be in the way, but, it will move enough to allow this process.

Install new cable in reverse order, starting with the large spring, most difficult. It might also be easier to route the new cable at this time.

Install the left deck lifter arm and spring clip or cotter pin, install the front deck pivot lifter rod and spring clip or cotter pin. Install the battery support brackets, battery and reconnect the battery cables, - to black, and + to red.

Your finished, not get back to work......
