Fixing Your Tools, It Just Makes Sense

You already know our motto: Fixing things makes sense. And we stand by that. Why throw away an expensive tool when the fix may only cost a few bucks? And why go through all the trouble of visiting a repair shop when we have a huge stock of parts and the information you need to get through even the toughest repairs? Well, there really isn’t a good reason. And fixing things yourself is about more than just saving yourself time and money. Keeping all that metal and plastic out of landfills is great for the environment too.

Remember that we have the repair resources you need. Check out our Repair Center for hundreds of articles on power tool repair, or swing by our forum to pick our experts’ brains on any of your repairs. We’re here to offer more than just parts, we’re here to help!

Find Your Model Number

For most power tools, you’ll want to search for an ID plate on the tool. For most hand-held tools, you’ll find this plate on the side of the tool, usually with some other information. It’s pretty hard to miss. On table-top tools, check the sides, back, and top for such a plate. Most companies clearly label the model number on their tools, but if you’re having trouble finding it, click on your tool brand to the right for a detailed description of model numbers for that brand.

If you still can’t find it, give us a call and one of our customer service reps will help you locate the model number--and any other information you may need, such as type numbers--on your tool. Then you’ll be all set for ordering parts!
