Can anyone tell me how to connect the right hand lever to the drive cable? I have a Troy bilt self propelled mower and the lever disconnected from the cable while I was mowing. I have removed the housing on the handle, but the cable seems way too short to attach to anything! The model number is 12ag836e711. I would appreciate any help!

I replaced the blade on my Troy-Bilt Mower (Model # 12AG836E711). As soon as started the mower, the blade adapter shattered. I assume the problem was over/under tightening of the hex screw that holds the blade. Is there a recommended torque on this item? Thanks!
