The front baffle connects to the mower deck to prevent grass from shooting out. This will keep the grass rotating longer under the deck providing better mulch. Baffle was worn out over the years and rotated downward while in use and was hit by the mower blade
Placed baffle into slot and tab position and used self tapping screws to hold in place.
