*This part replaces obsolete part #: 746-04265A.
Product Information
Description:
This replacement drive cable is supplied from the original equipment manufacturer. It is commonly utilized on Troy-Bilt and Yard Man walk-behind lawn mowers. The purpose of a drive cable is to stop the engine when the user lets go of the handle. When the cable is damaged or broken, the mower becomes temporarily inoperable so the cable needs to be replaced. Please note one durable rubber insulated drive cable is included. Replacing this part is a pretty simple task that should only require a screwdriver and pliers. |

Self propel not working
Installed the new belt on the engine pulley and the transmission pulley. I then looked at how the drive cable was connected at both ends. Then removed it and installed the new one just like the old one.
