Hi! I have an old delta 11-090 type I radial drill press with a manual table adjustment. Would it be possible to upgrade this to a rack and pinion table adjustment system from another type I delta press?

I have a Delta radial drill press. Model 11-090. The spindle is square to the table left to right., but not fore & aft. There seems to be no adjustment to correct this. I need help.

i'm just throwing this out there as I dont have this drill press,, looking at parts diagram. could you add any shims in t bracket to raise or lower the shaft? also what does part # 21 do.. is that for any adjustment on shaft.. there again I am just looking at diagram to see if there is any adjustment set screw ,

The table on my Delta 11-090 radial arm drill press must be raised and lowered manually. Lowering it is no problem but raising it gets more difficult the older I get. Others must have encountered the same problem. I'm looking for suggestions as to how to mechanize or gain a mechanical advantage to lift the table, I've thought about a cable, pulley, and counterweight system, but I can't see how to implement such a system. Can anyone help?
