I got an Troy Bilt pressure sprayer that is not operating as required. Pump is not creating required pressure but engine running with correct water inlet pressure. What is the required adjustment to the screw/spring assembly on the back of the pump.

Question: Injection Tube

Tad

The injection bib where you hook the soap tube up is spraying water.

Question: Throttle?

Jo

Is there a throttle control on this model? It starts, but then immediately stalls. Any suggestions? I've checked the gas, oil, and water and all are OK.
What causes the engine to bog down when I turn the water supply on. Bad pump maybe?

Question: Pressure

wes

I have no pressure does this mean the pump is bad or could it be something else?

I have a similar issue. The water pressure isn't building like it normally should. What could cause this?

It could be something has entered from the water hose if the filter is missing. It happened to me - now I'm trying to find it! Then maybe it will build back pressure after i get it out, whatever it is.
Is there an on/off position to control this tube? Currently, I can not get tube to draw detergent.

Hi Tom,

There is not an on/off valve to control the chemical tube. It works off of pressure. It will only work with your low pressure nozzles. There is a pressure valve that shuts the siphon off when the high pressure nozzles are used. If you are using the low pressure nozzle and it still won't work then the valve is probably froze with oil soap or chemical. If the valve is clogged then the Chemical Injection Kit should get you up and running. It is part #190593GS and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.

I hope this helps with your repair!

I had the same problem... Turns out, I had the detergent hose hooked up to the wrong port! There is a thermal relief valve underneath and it looks like the detergent intake. Try switching it to the other one... You should have the detergent hose hooked up to the brass fitting, not the black plastic one. May not be your problem, but double check...

I have the same problem. I cleaned the valve and still no suction. I have water pressure all the time against the valve. If I remove the pressure valve there is a stream of water that comes out. Using the low pressure nozzle the stream is reduced, but still present.

Question: No Water/pressure

steve

Connect hose and turn on, get water flownormal. Start engine on choke and still get flow. When the engine is in normal operating mode, water stops coming out of water outlet on pump. Then turn off engine water starts coming out of pump, note water is warm almost hot.PLEASE HELP ME
