Your answer for trimmer sending out to much spring, shows a spring replacement. However there is "NO" spring in the string assembly. Bought a spring needlessly.

Will the 1 string cap assembly work where it had a 2 string cap.

Hello Kimberly, thank you for writing. It may be that the Cap Assembly 90583594N This part secures the spool into the spool housing. HOW IS THE handle removedgh7000

Hi Eddie, Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, install the handle assembly with the Black & Decker logo facing upward and attach the handle to the metal shaft of the trimmer by pushing it onto the shaft from the side. Once it is pushed onto the metal shaft, the handle can be turned into the correct orientation. Insert the 2-1/2 inch bolt through the holes in the handle and thread on the plastic knob.
