Hello pljones1k,

Unfortunately the tire for the Ryobi BS902 and BS903 cannot be used on the BS901. The old part number for the BS901 tire is BS90104200 maybe someone out there has some or a suitable replacement.

The instructions advise that the wheel tire band must be heated in order to place it on the wheel. How do you heat it so it will stretch to fit on the wheel?

Hi,
Just boil a pan of water.Turn the heat off and remove the pan.Then place the tire in the pan of hot water for a couple of minutes.Hope that helps.Good luck.

The tires between the BS901 and the BS902 are not interchangeable. For the BS901 you will need the tire part #BS90104200.

For the BS902 you will need the tire part #330023000.

I purchased a bs901 band saw wheel tire and it seems to be way too small to fit on the wheel. It doesn't stretch much so do I have to heat it or just pull harder to stretch it over the wheel?

Hi Ken,

New bandsaw tires can be a challenge to install! Heating it will make it more flexible and help with install. The installation is made much easier with a helper too. It is much easier to do wit four hands pulling instead of two!

I recently purchased three wheel tires for my BS901, when I tried to put them on there was a HUGE difference in size to make it fit.

Am I suppose to stretch this a lot to make it fit the wheel?

Essentially, yes. If you're having trouble getting it stretched out far enough, try putting it into some hot water to loosen it up a bit.

Hi Jack,

The exact size of blade for the BS901 Bandsaw is 59 1/4". The 59 1/4" blades can be difficult to locate. We stock several blades from Delta Machinery here at http://www.ereplacementparts.com that are 59 1/2" long. You will have plenty of blade adjustment with your BS901 bandsaw and these blades will work great.

#28-177 9" Band Saw Blade 1/4", 6 TPI
