5 brush won't turn - try everything in the manual. cleaned filter, turn off andn on, reseated brush.

Supergumby If you can't manually rotate the brushes, it is probably a seized bearing (there are 2) in the turbine assembly. Remove and dissasemble the turbine (43191021), remove the turbine from the shaft and knock the shaft out of the housing to get to the bearings. The bearing part number may be 91001075, but don't quote me on that. My hoover Steam Vac puts water down but will only suck dirty water up with the hand attachment. We have had our shampooer for about 2 years, and use it 6-8 times a year. The unit loses suction almost every time now, due to a faulty gasket seal on the recovery tank lid. What a huge PITY to have to deal with. |
