It is going to be an electrical issue. You will need to isolate and test each component. A multimeter should be all you need to do the diagnosis. You will need to test or inspect the cord, switch, circuit board, brushes, armature and field. Any one of these could be causing your hammer to not turn on.

My 11230 evs broke the plastic dogbone looking connecting rod which connects the eccentric gear to the reciprocal piston . its like a connecting rod for a engine . could not see pic of part in schematics
I have a Bosch 11230EVS, SDSMax, that doesn't hammer at all. It feels like the piston isn't even moving. Drills turns ok, but absolutely no hammering action, or even a sound the the hammer function is even there. I've always taken care of my own stuff, and just downloaded the parts diagram. Is this something I can fix?...
