Discussion for the Bostitch RN45B Coil-Fed Pneumatic Roofing Nailer
First of all it depends on where you have the air leak. If it is in the trigger area go with the TVA6 Trigger valve kit. If that is not it I would go with the RN45/SDC [RBK13
Hope this helps,

my nailer is a bostitch rn45b-1 when you plug the air hose in, it will shoot one nail. It starts blowing air if you unplug air hose and plug it back it will shoot one more.
I have a Bostitch roofing gun that when I plug in the air hose and get ready to shoot the gun, it is like the air is not engaging the gun to fire. The pin behind the trigger doesn't seem to be coming out so when you put the gun down to fire there is no action.
I would suspect that your trigger valve has gone bad. There is a kit available that will replace the entire trigger valve. It is part #TVA6 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.
Pop open your feeder and remove your coil of nails. Check to see if only one nail is in the barrel, if so close your feeder and dry fire the gun to shoot it out. These drivers are very strong and I have done this before on the job site. Or if that's to exciting pop the feeder and use a nail set to tap back the head of the stuck nail until you see the head where the feeder is then pull out with a needle nose. Check your feeder and driver tip. Guns don't just jam on there own, something else might be going on.
I loaned out my roof nailer and he tells me when he hooks up the air hose to it it blows continuous air out the nail discharge area. It still will nail but will continue to blow air out until the compressor is drained. Thanks. Steve
It will need a front o-ring Steve. Get the full kit and replace them all. Also, don't let the gun sit for long periods, drop 7-10 drops of gun oil in it and run it once a month so the seals don't dry out. Download a pdf to see how your gun is put together for the ring job.
I would suspect that your trigger valve has failed. The trigger valve is offer as a kit. The part number for the trigger valve kit is #TVA6 and is available from http://ereplacementparts.com.
Good luck with your repair!

TVA6 trigger or just the o-rings. You can get them on this site. A full o-ring kit for the gun should have the o-rings for the trigger. the trigger is simple to replace/rebuild and other o-rings,especially the driver will go as being used so it's good to have a full o-ring kit for less down time. Download a pdf on this gun.
I have a bostitch n45b that will fire one nail but won't advance the nails. I have checked the coil of nails, cleaned things up a little. What might be causing this? I'm not exactly sure how the pawl works so don't have a clue what the problem might be.
I'd take the mag. off pop the snap ring out and clean the feeder assy. check the spring on the back of the pawl.

Inspect the feed pawl itself for broken teeth and make sure the pin which attaches the pawl to the shaft of the nail advance piston is present and that the ""O ring" retainer is on the end of the pin.
Check for an air hole obstruction on the inside bottom of the frame. This is a small hole which feeds air to the advance piston and could become clogged if the bumper has disintegrated.
