Anyone know what I need to do to replace these parts? If I need a bearing puller etc. or does it come off from the chuck side?

The bearings and gear are pressed on. They press on from the side opposite the chuck. To make the repair you will first need to remove the chuck.

Replacing a drill chuck.
Now you can open the housings and remove the spindle. The best way to remove the bearings and gear will be with a bearing press. The new bearings and gear can then be pressed back in place.
