Question: Bearing Lubrication During Re-as...
When re-assembling the air ratchet, do you grease the bearings or does the air tool oil take care of the lubrication? If grease is to be used, what is the best grease to use?

You can lube the Ball Bearings with just a little bit of gear lube. You will not want to have the gear lube spreading throughout the internal parts of the Chicago Pneumatic CP828 (T022708) 3/8" Ratchet. And yes the oil will help to keep them lubricated.
Question: Cp828 Air Ratchet
what part of my ratchet should i change to make this quit skipping/slipping?
Very strong ratchet when it isn't skipping/slipping

The thing to do is probably breakdown the the tool and look for parts that might show some wear on them. Look at the gears, bearings, springs etc. Sometimes moisture and dirty air can get into a pneumatic tool and cause problems. Clean it thoroughly and hopefully it will fix the problem you area having with it.
Question: Bearing Dimensions
I have what I think is an old version (can't find identifying marks) of a CP828 air ratchet wrench. This is indicated as the bearing I need if I had a current cp828, but I would like to confirm. Can you provide me with the inner and outer diameters please? Thank you - Paul
