Question: Assembly Description

1236747

Is the battery available seperately?

Reply: Assembly Description

Hello 1236747,

The manufacture does not provide the battery for the PHV1800 as a service part. The complete 5147220-00 Battery and Motor would have to be replaced.

Question: New Bowl Assembly

Woodbrn

My flapper door broke on my PHV1800 Dustbuster. I ordered a new clamsell set from e-repl. I took the old one apart, but I can't get the bowl assembly to come out of the clamsell section which has the flapper door on it. Any advice how to remove the bowl assembly. Thanks.

Question: Charger Problem?

My 2-yr old B&D dustbuster no longer can be recharged. How can I tell if the problem is the charger unit, or the dustbuster itself?

Question: Rubber Inlet Flap

Mike

I have a PHV1800 that is missing a rubber inlet flap. Not sure what the real name is, but it is necessary to keep dirt from falling back out of the Vac. I need to locate a new flap. It is located inside the bowl assembly. Can you help me locate one?

Thanks
Pete

I have same question. I have a problem with dirt falling back out of my Dust Buster.

I think I can see inlet flap in bowl assembly but can't tell how it is suppose to work or how to make it work.

How to install the rubber flap?

Hi everyone,

The inlet flap is not sold as a separate piece. It is part of the bowl assembly. The bowl assembly is part #90501789.

I hope this helps!

Question: Poor Battery

Is it possible to replace only the battery for the PHV1800 or do I have to replace the motor as well? I do not see the battery only option in the replacement parts.

Question: Loses Power/suction

B&D PHV1800.....after 10 seconds power/suction decreases...3 years old....battery losing charge?...replacement available?...

I have the same issue as you and sounds like we need to buy battery and motor together which costs way too much. Might as well get a new one my friend :)
Work great for a short period of time, then the battery goes to _____. Cost too much to replace the battery... What a joke.
Owned for 3 years no problems strong suction, GREAT VALUE. Only one of its kind when purchased others copy for more money. Picks up pet hair, easy clean filter and discharge dirt, sits well in charger cradle no plugs to fuss with great adjustable snorkel to get into tight spots, recommended to friends and family. Discovered in Popular Mechanics magazine 18volt like used for power tools does the job.
For the first few months, this little cleaner is a gem. Then, the battery starts getting less and less recharge. At first, it will run well for nearly ten minutes. After a year, it will have full power for less than a minute. There is no reasonable way to replace the battery with a new one, except by replacing the motor with it, and that costs more than the original vacuum cleaner.

I would recommend you consider another portable hand vacuum cleaner, unless you want this one to be just a throwaway.

It was a good vac. cleaner while it lasted. When and if you need to replace the battery, at the cost as advertised, may as well buy another vacuum cleaner. Preferably not B&D, so you can just replace the battery and not to buy motor and other not needed parts.
