Tools & Materials
The pipe jaws are the lower set of jaws on your vise. The pipe jaws have a concave face that makes them useful for clamping pieces of pipe (or other round material). The kit includes the two jaws and the screws that are used to install them. Over time, the teeth on the jaws will wear down and they will no longer be able to clamp the work material firmly.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE LOWER PIPE JAWS 1. Remove the lower pipe jaws.
a. Open the vise to the widest position.
b. Remove the screws securing the lower pipe jaws to the inner jaws.
c. Remove the lower pipe jaws.
INSTALLING THE NEW LOWER PIPE JAWS
2. Install the lower pipe jaws.
a. The new lower pipe jaws can be installed in either vertical position (facing up or down); providing both jaws are installed in the same direction.
b. Install the new lower pipe jaws onto the inner vise jaws.
c. Secure the lower pipe jaws with the screws.
