So I have an issue with my lawnmower every time I crank it it idles up so high to where it sounds like it's going to explode or takeoff. What could this possibly be I have taken everything apart check the floats on the carburetor and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance

Hi Johnathon, Thank you for your question. If your engine is surging, you may have a clogged air filter or carburetor and they will need to be either cleaned or replaced. Check and see if the carburetor is leaking air. If it is, it will need to be cleaned or replaced. Check the vent in the fuel cap to see if it is clogged. If it is clean it. If water has gotten into the fuel because of condensation of if the mower was left out in the rain, empty the fuel tank and properly dispose the fuel and replace it with new fuel. The pull core broke. Can I buy that part already assembled and just put it on ?
