Switches
Switches
The switch controls the flow of electricity to the laser. If the switch is bad, you can test it. The switch will vary on models. The switch should pull up easily, with a small screwdriver. Unplug the electrical connections. Test the switch with an ohmmeter by attaching it to the terminals of the switch. With the switch in the ON position, the ohmmeter should give you a reading. In the OFF position, it should read O.L (out of limits) or infinity. If you are not getting a reading in the ON position, the switch is bad and needs to be replaced. Attach the electrical connections to the switch and push the switch back down into place.

Power Supplies
Power Supplies
Some models will have a power supply located inside the handle by the main switch. The power supply will supply power to the motor as well as the laser when you pull the trigger. If you are not getting power to the motor and the laser, and the unit has power flowing to it, most likely the power supply needs to be replaced. To replace the power supply, open up the handle of the unit. Lift the power supply out and disconnect all wires at the power supply, making note of where they attach too. Connect them to the new power supply and then reassemble the handle.

"Like magic. I took a picture of the model number on my refrigerator, and the app identified it right away ... Very convenient. I'm impressed."
