The reversible jaw inserts are the clamping surfaces on your vise. The kit includes two new jaws and the screws to install them. They are reversible, so when the teeth on the jaws wear down, you can rotate them and have new teeth on the side of the vise you use the most. Over time, the diamond-point teeth on the jaws will wear out, causing the vise to no longer grip firmly.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE REVERSIBLE JAW INSERTS 1. Remove the jaw inserts.
a. Open the vise to the widest position.
b. Remove the (2) screws securing the jaws vise assembly.
c. Remove the jaw inserts from the vise assembly.
INSTALLING THE NEW REVERSIBLE JAWS 2. Install the jaw inserts.
a. Install the new jaw inserts on the vise assembly.
b. Secure the new jaw inserts with the new screws.
