I have a 12" compound sliding miter saw that the brushes were sparking real bad, low power. I replaced and didn't help. Advice on replacing armature

Thank you for your question. If you have replaced the brushes and the miter saw is still sparking, there may be a build up of carbon on the commutator of the armature. You should also check the bearings, the brush cap and the field. Saw does not suffix after the model DW 705. Does that mean that it is a type 1 model
