At full charge dustbuster runs maybe 1to 2minutes then dies. Press start button again does same thing. 6312715503 Can I assume the charger is the battery?

Thank you for your question. If the dust buster only runs for a few minutes and stops, either the battery is failing to charge or the charger is not working correctly. You will need to test these parts with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. We hope this helps!

Thanks for your answer 1/5 but it didnt help me at all.i didnt get the cost of thecharger or battery, the battery probably is most likely. After cost of battery you can include how to get at it to either test it or replace. Thank you

To test the Battery you will need to open up the Unit to remove the battery and test the terminals for continuity. If your current charger is frayed, overheats during charging, or intermittently stops charging, it must be replaced. We hope this helps!

thanks for your answer on 1-8-24.I removed 7 philip head screws from this unit. there aren't any others and still I cant see how to get at the battery. I guess I have to conclude there is no way to get to the battery. I dont want to pry it apart. Guess ill have to buy new. Thanks for your help.

Hi George,
Thank you for your question. Once you have removed the screws from the dust buster, you will need to pry the housing open in the middle to unlock it. Once you have opened it, you will have access to the battery connections. You can then measure the continuity of the batteries to see which of the batteries have low voltage, although it would be recommended to replace all of them at the same time. Once the batteries have been replaced, you can reassemble the dust buster. We hope this helps!
