1. Remove the old spool cap
Use your fingers to press in on the two tabs on the sides of the spool and pull the cap away.
2. Remove the spool
Now that you've removed the spool cap, the spool will just pull away from the trimmer.
3. Install the new spool
Set the new spool over the spring and line up the trimmer line with the eyelet.
4. Replace the spool cap
Line up the tabs on the spool cap with the openings on the spool and snap the cap back into position.
