Replacing the Water Tube
1. Remove the bean hopper and water reservoir
Twist the center of the bean hopper to unlock the unit, then pull the bean hopper and water reservoir away.
2. Remove the top cover
There are four screws on the back and on the underside of the front. Remove these to pull the top cover off of the unit.
3. Remove the back cover
Remove the protective covers of the three screws on the back cover -- then unfasten the screws and remove the back cover.
4. Remove the clogged tube(s)
Typically, the tube that becomes clogged most often is the one connecting the diffuser and the solenoid.
Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the clamps holding the tubes onto their grommets -- then pull the tube out of the unit.
5. Install the new tube
Slide the o-rings from the old tube onto the ends of your new tube -- then place them back onto the diffuser and solenoid grommets.
Once the new water tube is in position, secure it with the clamps that were removed in step 4.
6. Check for any other clogged tubes
Any of the water tubes in your espresso maker can become clogged. Use the same process illustrated above to replace any additional clogged/damaged hoses.
7. Replace the back cover
Snugly fasten the three screws that were removed in step 3 -- then replace the protective screw covers.
8. Replace the top cover
Replace and fasten the six screws that were removed in step 2.
9. Place water reservoir and bean hopper back into their original positions
Set them back into their original positions then secure the bean hopper by twisting the center latch.
10. Run the cleaning cycle
This step is highly recommended. Consult your owner's manual for help finding this setting.
