The Earth blade is bolted onto the bottom of the auger. It is the blade that cuts through the soil. Over time, it will wear from cutting through the abrasive soil, and will need to be replaced.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE EARTH BLADE 1. Remove the Earth blade.
a. Remove the two bolts and nuts securing the Earth blade to the auger.
b. Remove the Earth blade.
INSTALLING THE NEW EARTH BLADE
2. Install the Earth blade.
a. Align the new Earth blade with the mounting holes on the auger.
b. Install the mounting bolts and nuts to secure the new Earth blade.
