How to Replace the Container Bottom on an Oster Blender

Cracked container bottom on your blender? It's time to replace it. The container bottom works with the agitator and the seal ring to prevent liquid from leaking from your blender's jar. The plastic container bottom can weaken after years of use (and eventually crack). Over-tightening the container bottom can lead to cracking sooner.

Let's get started.

REMOVING THE CONTAINER BOTTOM   1. Remove the container bottom.

a. Remove the jar from the blender

b. Unscrew the old container bottom.

c. Remove the agitator and the seal ring from the (old) container bottom.

INSTALLING THE NEW CONTAINER BOTTOM

  2. Install the container bottom.

a. Install the agitator and the seal ring onto the new container bottom. (Note: the seal fits on top of the agitator.)

b. Screw the new container bottom onto the jar.

c. Install the jar onto the blender base.
