Line up the new mandrel assembly with the mandrel stripper and the holes in the deck. The mandrel assembly bolt holes are not threaded , but the the three mandrel screws are self tapping screws. Tighten the mandrel assembly to the deck, attach the washer pulley and the mandrel nut. Attach deck to mower and install the new blade.

Remove belt and pulley. Remove blade from inside the deck. Remove three screws that attach the housing to the mower deck. The shaft and bearings were still ok, but I replaced them with new anyway, was the best thing to do. The three screws are self threading, one of which was hard to get started, but after awhile with pressure and turning at the same time it tightened up. all-in-all it went pretty easy. I wasn't so fortunate on my next project with putting tubes in my tires.

    1. Jacked up the rear of the rider mower to access the blades from the underside to remove them
    2. Removed belt to one side & remove old mandrel- a little tedious
    3. Pressed (could have used a rubber mallet) new bearings into mandrel along new shaft & packed with grease for the bearings
    4. Installed the assembled new unit & new pulley on top, put on the one blade to hold to put on the top nut
    5. Reinstalled belt around the pulleys.
    6. Put new blades on
    7. Spent 4 hours mowing
    8. Parts & fast shipping were great!
