Mandrel Pulley plays and important roll by transferring the energy/motion from the Motor to the Blades using belts. Spline on OEM pulley and shaft no longer had teeth.

2. Removed the top mandrel nuts.
3. Removed the nut from the blade (good time to sharpen or replace).
4. Separated the mandrel assembly from the pulley, grease the empty housing unit once the parts have been removed. Make sure the new mandrel can be greased before assembly.
5. Grease the upper lower bearings and insert the new mandrel into the deck and secure to the new pulley.
6. Place the new or sharpened the blade back on.
7. Put the new belt on and greased the mandrel thoroughly.

Remove Nut from top of pulley
Remove pulley
Place new pulley and center new pulley on Blade Assemble Shaft.
Press pulley with gear center lined up Install nut and tighten nut keeping pulley flat square and aligned on shaft for an even draw as you tighten the pulley which presses the pulley onto the geared shaft more and more. It will take a little force.
When you see the Pulley is at least 3/4 of the total distance down you are done the Gear portion of the shaft gets bigger and bigger the lower on the shaft you go.
Reinstall the Deck Assembly, Drive Belt for the blades.
Pulley Protective Housing.
Test Unit and get your grass cut
Belt became loose, only cutting on one side. Discovered the belt pulley and blade not turning.

2. Attempted to remove the machine screws for the pulley guards, however they broke off due to being seized to the deck. Drilled out and replaced with similar size.
3. Removed top mandrel nut, removed the worn belt pulley.
4. Loosened the 3 machine screws to mandrel, and separated from deck.
5. Removed blade bolt to detach blade. Leave blade secured to mandrel as you will need it for leverage to loosen the nut above belt pulley in order to effectively remove pulley.
Reassemble in reverse order with all appropriate new parts.
Mandel was stripped. The pulley ended up warpping

Removed primary and secondary belts.
Removed broken pulley and mandrel.
Replace with new parts.
Replaced Belts (I would suggest getting two people to put on the belts, they are really tough to do on your own). The belts took the most time in this repair.
I replaced the blades since I already had the deck off.
That was it. The dealership wanted about 450 to do the repair, I did it for under 200.
Mandrel spline teeth stripped off due to improper pulley being installed at repair shop.
