The oil fill plug and breather is the cap for the opening where the oil is added to your compressor's pump. The tube has a breather built into it to equalize the air pressure inside the crankcase. REMOVING THE OIL CAP AND BREATHER 1. Remove the breather tube.
a. Unscrew and remove the breather tube from the compressor.
INSTALLING THE NEW OIL CAP AND BREATHER
2. Install the breather tube.
a. Verify that the O-ring is properly seated on the bottom of the new breather tube.
b. Thread the new breather tube onto the compressor's pump.
