The plastic dust collection bags are disposable bags that make emptying your dust collector fast and clean. The bags are made of a thick, clear plastic to ensure that the bag doesn't tear, and so you can see how full the bag is. Replacing the bag is easy.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE PLASTIC COLLECTION BAG 1. Remove the plastic bag.
a. Grasp the top portion of the plastic collection bag (near the drum).
b. Press the plastic bag toward the center of the dust collector to disengage the snap-in retainer.
c. Remove the plastic bag (and retainer) from the dust collector.
d. Remove the retainer from the plastic bag.
e. Discard the old plastic collection bag.
INSTALLING THE NEW PLASTIC COLLECTION BAG
2. Install the plastic collection bag.
a. Place the retainer over the open end of one of the new plastic collection bags.
b. Pull approximately three inches of the new plastic bag through the retainer and fold the plastic bag back onto itself (entrapping the retainer within).
c. Align the top portion of the plastic collection bag (containing the retainer) with the inside flange on the bottom of the drum.
d. Starting at the back of the drum, seat the retainer into the flange.
e. Continue seating the retainer into the flange until only a small portion of the retainer is visible at the front of the drum.
f. Press the exposed portion of the retainer toward the center of the drum.
g. Align the retainer (vertically) with the inner flange on the drum.
h. Carefully release the retainer to secure the new plastic bag in place. (Be careful to avoid getting your fingers caught between the retainer and the drum.)
