Saw unstable on your table? It's time to face the fix. Whether you are a commercial contractor or a weekend welder, eReplacementParts.com provides the parts, procedures and facts you need to fearlessly fix what fails you.
Your chop saw has four rubber feet on the base. The feet stabilize the saw by preventing it from sliding around on the workbench. They also help keep the saw level. If one or two of the feet are missing, the saw will tend to rock from side-to-side, resulting in a cumbersome and potentially unsafe cutting area.
Whether the feet are worn-through or missing completely, replacing them is a repair that you can easily do yourself.
This article provides step-by-step instructions for removing and installing the rubber feet on a DeWALT chop saw (model D28715).
Let's talk chop. REMOVING THE RUBBER FOOT [top] 1. Unplug the saw!
Disconnect power to the saw.
2. Remove the foot.
Pull (or pry) the rubber foot away from the base of the saw.
INSTALLING THE NEW RUBBER FOOT [top] 3. Install the foot.
Align the opening on the new rubber foot with the base of the saw.
Press the new rubber foot onto the base of the saw.
