Removed shroud over carb. Removed pull starter shroud. Removed throttle linkage from carb and from saws handle that way you can take the air filter housiing off and get it out of the way, simple to put back together. Removed the choke and kill switch then removed the carb and the carb manifold in order to replace the main gas line to the tank. This makes things alot easier when replacing the main gas line. Installing the main line was the hardest because the line fits extemely tight into the gas tank. I cut the end of the gas line at an angle in order to get it started in to the tank. The gas line I bought comes with instructions to help you do it right. Once I got it started into the tank I used a surgical Hemostat to reach in the tank and pull the hose into the tank to where I could cut the end square and put a new coupler on it and then attach the fuel filter. Long nose needle nose pliers would work but I didn't have a pair. Pulling the hose into the tank was the hardest part because the gas line fits really tight. I put a little WD40 on the line to help lubricate it so it would pull thru easier. Then I replaced all the other gas lines, installed a new Purge Bulb, put new gaskets on the manifold (I didn't replace any internal carb gaskets) I put everything back together, put gas in the tank, primed the Purge Bulb and after two pulls it fired right up and runs good.

Cylinder piston and carburetor replacement

1) Remove the filter housing
2) Remove the top body cover
3) Remove carburetor and intake body
4) Remove Pull Rope housing
5) Remove chain clutch and flywheel
6) Remove oiler housing and oiler gear
7) Remove bottom 4 screw that holds the cylinder assembly in plastic housing.
8) First Remove saw and saw bar

1. Disassembled entire saw.
2. Cleaned off carbon from top of piston and cylinder head.
3. Replaced fuel line with filter.
4. Reassembled saw.
5. Added new fuel and it fired right up without to much resistance on the rope.

Poulan P3314 would not start

1. Purchased two carburetors that did not work. 2. Had a weak spark so I replaced the ignition coil. 3. Took engine out and replaced the main bearings. 4. Replaced the fuel lines and filter. 5. Purchased a new Zama carb from eReplacementParts.com and installed it. 6. Turned the Lo and High carb adjustment screws out 1 and 1/2 turns. 7. Replaced the primer bulb. 8. Put fresh 40:1 gasoline in. The saw finally started up and ran. 8. Ran the saw about a medium RPM and turned the Lo carb adjustment screw slowly clockwise until maximum RPM and the saw then idled nice without shutting off. The parts from eReplacement.com were excellent quality. I should have purchased a new carb from eReplacementParts.com to start with. I did purchase a flywheel removal tool and with an impact wrench removed the flywheel. I watched a eReplacementParts You Tube video on replacing the engine main bearings. The video was VERY helpful.

Muffler gasket blew out

Parts Used
Removed the spark arrester from the muffler to access the two bolts holding the muffler. Requires a long star driver bit to reach the bolts. Removed old gasket and replaced with new gasket. Re installed the muffler and spark arrester . Quite simple and easy. Had to purchase a gasket kit to get the muffler gasket. Hope I don't need the others later. But have them if needed.
