    Questions & Answers for Assembly-seal & Bearing

I'm confused. I need crankshaft seals for the listed saw but I'm getting listing for part # 530056363. What's the difference? I think I'm looking for 576243901. Are these two parts interchangeable?
Jim for model number 5020av asked on 2022-11-29
Hello Jim, thank you for your question. The correct part for your model is the 576243901. It is Item 32 in the engine Schematic. We hope this helps.

    1. Purchased two carburetors that did not work. 2. Had a weak spark so I replaced the ignition coil. 3. Took engine out and replaced the main bearings. 4. Replaced the fuel lines and filter. 5. Purchased a new Zama carb from eReplacementParts.com and installed it. 6. Turned the Lo and High carb adjustment screws out 1 and 1/2 turns. 7. Replaced the primer bulb. 8. Put fresh 40:1 gasoline in. The saw finally started up and ran. 8. Ran the saw about a medium RPM and turned the Lo carb adjustment screw slowly clockwise until maximum RPM and the saw then idled nice without shutting off. The parts from eReplacement.com were excellent quality. I should have purchased a new carb from eReplacementParts.com to start with. I did purchase a flywheel removal tool and with an impact wrench removed the flywheel. I watched a eReplacementParts You Tube video on replacing the engine main bearings. The video was VERY helpful.

Watched video from eReplacement Parts for engine seal replacement. This was an excellent video of step-by-step instructions. I did not like the liquid sealant I purchased. Go with a brand you know. Overall, the repair was fairly simple with the correct tools.
    - clutch removal tool
    -worm gear removal/installation tool
-coil spacer device (thick business card)
I would attempt this repair again with confidence.
Another hint, since you have to do a total dis-assemble of the engine you may consider replacing the piston ring while you have it apart. Also the oil pump to be safe.
This saw was purchased in 2006 and was 13 years old before it needed this type of repair.
