A cut, bare and/or a shorted cord can trip the circuit breaker of the power. To prevent this from happening, make sure to replace the cord on your bench grinder. Before installing a new cord, remove the cord clamp by removing the retaining screws. Now you can lift the cord and switch the assembly out of the handle as well as disconnect the cord from the switch. Once the cord is pulled from the grinder, you are ready to install a new cord. Tip: trim the new cord wires before reassembling your grinder.
