    1. Removed the screws holding the handle together.
    2. Disconnected power cord from switch.
    3. Removed old cord protector, and slid new one on.
    4. Connected power cord to switch.
    5. Replaced screws in handle.
    6. Tested drill to make sure all was working.

    Screwdriver, Wire strippers, dikes and 2 crimp on wire ends

    1. Split the case to the grinder.
    2. Unplugged the existing power cord.
    3. Purchase 2 crimp on plug ends and crimp them onto the new power cord.
    4. Plug in the new power cord.
    5. Screw the two case halves back together.

    Open switch housing, remove power cord wiring from switch using a paper clip, remove ground wire from housing, remove old cord protector from power cord, replace with new, reinsert wires into switch, reattach ground screw to housing, reassemble switch housing, tighten all screws securely.

    1. Remove screws on top of router
    2. Remove router top
    3. Remove screws holding power cable
    4. Remove cord protector and damaged cord
    5. Replace with new parts and reverse installation.

    Replace Cord and Cord Protector

    1. Remove outer case
    2 Pull switch off and remove cord leads
    3. Slide on cord protector and new cord into grinder, attach to switch
    4. Reinstall Case screws

    I removed the screws holding the drill together, opened the case, removed the power cord easily, put the cord protector on the new cord and installed the new cord. After putting the case back on, I finally replaced the screws for the case and tested the drill.

    All went well and the drill cord is now safer to use. The online research, order, and shipping were very easy. I'm pleased with the experience.

    Removed 1/2 of the handle, removed the old cord and protector, installed heat shrink tubing, soldered in the new cord, shrunk the tubing with a lighter, installed and tightened the cord cover, job done.
