Question: Power Cord Connection

Bruce1953

How do I replace the power cord to the the drill itself?
WJA
Hello 1213327,

We have a couple of article and videos that I hope will help you with your repair. One is on replacing the cord on a tool that has screws and terminals on the switch and the other is on how to wire a trap door switch. Here are the links to both of them.

Question: Replacing Power Cord

blr

Does it matter which holes on the bottom of the switch the white and black wires on the new cord go into?
WJA
Hello blr,

If you look at the parts diagram. You will notice that the wires at the bottom back of the the switch are the cord wires. Either way you put the black and white cord wire in will be okay. Please see the link how to wire a trap door swicth to answer questions about wiring the switch.

Hope this helps,
