The selector knob fell off my Dewalt DW505 Type 2 hammer/drill. How do I replace the selector assembly (Part Numbers 37 and 40 on the parts diagram)?
The Dw505 type tool had some engineering changes made on it.Give me your email address and I'll email the service sheet and photos of the changes.Hope that helps.Good luck.
I am new at these forums. I sent you another message, but in case you did not get it my email is link removed.
Thanks for the help.
Its on its way.
I have not seen an email from you. I even check my spam. Please try again.
I sent it again to link removed.
I received it this time. It looks like this may be more difficult than I bargined for. The instructions you sent call for removing the spindle assembly (39) and clutch (52). I have not tried to disassemble the hammer drill, so I am not sure how difficult it is to remove (39) and (52). Do you have further instructions?
Appreciate all your help.
It should be pretty straight forward. No special tools are required. If you can change the spark plugs in your car you shouldn't have any problem.Clean all the grease out so you can see clearly what you doing and you shouldn't have a problem. If you do let us know and we will talk you through it.
