ECHO CHAINSAW STARTER

The starter assembly is a quick and easy way to fix a worn or damaged starter. The starter assembly includes the parts that commonly wear out, such as the starter spring, rope and the pulley.

Let's get started.

 

REMOVING THE STARTER ASSEMBLY   1. Remove the starter.

a. Remove the screws securing the starter assembly to the saw.

b. Remove the starter assembly from the saw.

c. Separate the starter assembly from the fan cover.

 

INSTALLING THE NEW STARTER ASSEMBLY

  2. Install the starter.

a. Install the fan cover onto the new starter assembly.

b. Install the new starter assembly on to the say.

c. Pull the starter rope slightly (if necessary) to align/engage the starter pawls.

d. Secure the new starter assembly with the screws.
