Are the doors falling off of your grill cabinet? Then, you might need a new adjustable door hinge. The adjustable door hinge consists of two hinge pins and two lock nuts. The hinges allow the doors to pivot open and are adjustable, so the doors are even. The hinges can come loose, causing the door to fall off. They can also be bent if the door is struck by something.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE ADJUSTABLE DOOR HINGES 1. Remove the doors.
a. In the top corner of each door there's an opening.
b. Inside that opening, there's a small lever that you can attach a screwdriver to.
c. Pull down on the screwdriver to release the top pin and the door will come free.
2. Remove the adjustable door hinges.
a. The adjustable door hinges are on the bottom of the grill cabinet.
b. Use two wrenches to remove the old hinges.
INSTALLING THE NEW ADJUSTABLE DOOR HINGES 3. Install the adjustable hinges.
a. Install the hinge pin in the bracket on the bottom of the grill cabinet.
b. Use a wrench to secure the hinge with a lock nut.
c. Repeat these steps to install the second hinge.
REASSEMBLING THE UNIT 4. Reinstall the doors.
a. Align the bottom of the door with the adjustable hinge.
b. Pull down on the top lever with a screwdriver and install the door on the top of the grill cabinet.
c. Check the doors to see if hinge adjustments are necessary.
d. Repeat these steps to remove the doors and adjust the hinge positions as necessary to ensure the best fit.
