  • Easy to find parts and worked like a charm
My 20 year old Sawzall cord was broken leaving the individual wires exposed. I was able to quickly find this part and order it at eReplacementParts. The part arrived quickly and was just what was needed. Had to cut the old piece off the cord but having done that, it was a simple replacement. Now my Sawzall is good as new and I don't have to worry about electrocuting myself.

Using a very small ratchet set to open the case, the wires just pull out of the junction box, after trimming the new wires to the correct length, I soldered them so as to make them easy to insert fully into the box. Reassembled and tested it runs perfect. Should give a few more years of service.

Missing parts and a scraping blade guard

    William - May 1, 2016
It's a common occurrence, I needed a tool, but couldn't afford new. I'd been watching eBay and a unit came up that looked like it had been through two or three careers. But I checked eReplacement Parts and saw that all the parts I needed to make it whole again were in stock. The replacement bands were easy to push onto the wheels, and the existing blade guard had a huge dent in it that made the blade scrape. It was a simple swap out with the new one using a few torx drivers. The front handle was missing, but that too was a breeze to replace with the brand new one. I put a touch of loctite blue and tightened it down with an allen wrench. The shoulder 3/8" x 16 bolt provided by eReplacement Parts was a perfect fit. I also put in a new cord and cord protector. The hardest part was packing all the wires back in so the handle would close nicely. At the end of the day there are faster ways to cut metal, but nothing compares to the band saw in terms of accuracy. I can split hairs with this thing. Thanks eReplacement Parts!!

Throwing a lot of sparks; cutting a little crooked; Cord was cut a few times and was pretty short.

Removed brush cover and old brush; dropped the curved end into brush holder and screwed brush cover back on; Do the same for both brushes. Make sure you have inserted the curved end first.
Remove old cord; remover two screws holding cord clamp in place; disconnect wires; and replace with new cord. I soldered a loop connector on the green ground wire and put solder on the naked ends of the white and black wired. Make sure the cord protector is on. Screw in the cord clamp and screw in the ground wire.
Remove blade and old tires, replace tires aligning groves of tires with knobs on wheels.
Replace front and rear blade guides. Each has two screws.
    Replace blade
