This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement knob. It is specially designed for use on a variety of walk-behind lawn mowers. This knob is generally used to secure the upper and lower handles of the mower. Replacing this part does not require any tools, this knob is secured with a carriage bolt which is sold separately. Please note, this star knob is sold individually.

1. Set rototiller handle to desired height.
2. Place the two screw-hex cap into the lower holes on the handle and secure with the locking flange nuts.
3. Tighten with socket set and combination wrench to gust snug fit.
4. Insert Carriage bolt into upper holes in the handle and lock the height adjuster into place with the square side of Carriage bolt.
5. Tighten Carriage bolt into locking hight adjuster with star knob until snug.
6. Recheck to ensure bolts are tighten and hight adjuster stayed to correct height.

drive cable, star knob and cable ties broke

Front wheels needed replacing because rubber was gone. Replace star knobs on handle. Replace control cable.

2. Removed nut and replaced with star knobs.
3. Removed old control cable and replaced with new cable.

Removed old knobs that actually are discontinued and replaced with updated parts. Simple, took about 5 minutes as the old knobs were on there pretty tight or else it was a 2 minute project.
