Genuine Manufacturer Approved Carriage Bolt is a standard part that fits a variety of products. This part is sold individually and the Nut is not included. The square area under the head is designed to fit into a square hole in the work piece it measures 5/16-18 x .75. It is this square hole that restrains the bolt and keeps it from turning when the nut is tightened.

    Screwdriver, Socket set, Wrench Set

    1. Removed 2 side shoes
    2. Removed worn out shave plate
    3. Installed new shave plate and bolts - tighten loosely
    4. Install two side shoes - tighten loosely
    5. Adjust height of side shoes
    5. Tighten all carriage bolts with nylon lock nuts

    Caution" Old shave plate may have a worn on sharper edge due to contact with side walk and or pavement. Suggest you use light gloves to mitigate cut hazard.

    Replacement plastic slide shoes wore too fast and slipped on blower. Shave plate wore excessively.
