This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually.
By pressing the bulb, fuel will come up from the fuel tank through the fuel line then into the carburetor.
Then the excess fuel will be forced back into the fuel tank through the fuel return line.

At some time the primer will lose its elasticity or crack and need to be replaced.

We have an article and video on How to Replace a Primer Bulb, in our Repair Center. That can be found on the front page of our site.

Power was down and running was a bit dodgy compared to regular performance
Empty the fuel tank
Remove the air filter cover; wipe air intake out with clean gas and paper towel
Put in new filter; close cover
Remove old spark plug, check gap to manual recommendations; set gap; insert spark plug and tighten.
Remove four (4) screws from the primer pump housing; remove primer pump bulb (it was cracked); replace new primer bulb into housing; set the screws in the normal cross pattern for a good seat and even torque - check for leaks (none - yeah?)
Fish out the fuel filter from the tank with a coat hanger wire bent for this task
Replace the filter on the fuel line end - push back into the tank

All good! Runs great again.

Carburetor gaskets disintegrated causing flooding and leakage.
Use the ereplacements parts diagram. Make sure the two fuel line to tank hoses are properly installed as this unit was a junk unit and the two hoses were swapped. Now the unit runs like new starting on the second pull each time. I love this powerful blower but my neighbors hate the impeller noise so I can only run it when they are at school, shopping or work. I took a picture of the hose layout plus the rest of the unit as it helps down the road if further repairs are needed.

Question: Primer Hose

clblevins

I need a new hose to connect to the primer bulb, but nothing is listed. I need it for a Echo SRM-2200.
WJA
Hello clblevins,

Since the manufacture does not list the hose you need. Take your primer bulb or your complete trimmer to a local small engine or mower repair shop in your area. They should have some fuel hose that you would be able to use.

Good luck,
-WJA
Question: Primer Pump

Ikey

After installing new pump, carb still will not prime. Engine was running fine and suddenly lost fuel supply. What's next? Diaphram?
WJA
Hello Ikey,

You may want to clean your carburetor. We have an article and video on How to Clean a 2 Cycle Engine Carburetor. You may also want to look at How to Replace Fuel Lines on 2-Cycle Engines. If you think it may be a diaphragm. You may want to order the repair kit part number P003000190.

Hope this helps,
-WJA

These primer bulbs are a great fit and work excellent!
I ordered four primer bulbs and several other items up to 5’ in length (main shaft). All products arrived sooner than expected and in great condition. I’m glad the postal service did an excellent job delivering my products on time and in a safe condition. Btw- all items were shipped to Guam so it was quite a travel for all. I’ll be ordering more parts soon. Great job!
