This replacement filter-pre cleaner is a genuine manufacturer sourced item. It is specially designed for use on Briggs and Stratton engines installed on Toro lawn tractors. This filter adds a second layer of protection against dust and other contaminants. This is a foam cleaner which is sold individually. Please note, the pleated paper filter is sold separately.

Replacing this item is a simple task that does not require any tools.

    All the parts i have ordered have always fit just fine. Briggs and Stratton seems to be having issues these days, in no way fault of e replacement parts, they cannot send what the manufactuer cant produce ya know.

    1. Removed Engine Air Shroud and Air Cleaner Housing.
    2. Removed and Replaced Pre Air Cleaner and Air Cleaner Cartridges.
    3. Removed and replaced oil and fuel filters.
    4. Removed, Gapped and replaced Spark Plugs
    5. Drained and added new oil.
    6. Oil drain plug on Briggs & Stratton engine was a little different in that there was a cap and the drain plug acted as a valve. To drain oil you had to rotate it.

    Mower deck belt change and engine oil change

    Removed mower deck from tractor. Replaced deck drive belt. Tractor drive belt was to long even though the part number listed was on the engine cover on the tractor. Will have to give tractor model and serial number as there might have been a change in the belt size. Replaced air cleaner and prefilter. Changed oil and filter.

    The governor blew up inside the case.

    Drained the oil, removed the engine from mower, removed oil pump, split the case cleaned all the old gasket material, cleaned both halves of the case, replaced the governor assembly, installed new gaskets, put the case back together, put engine back on mower, installed clutch and pulley system, adjusted the governor, started the mower and when to mowing the yard, no issues, and ran like a brand new mower.

    Took the old plugs out one at a time, checked the gap and put the new ones in. Replaced the old air filter with the new one.
