Product Description ?

This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The fuel filter helps to take out all the impurities and debris that could be harmful to the carburetor. This filter is most commonly used in trimmers, shredders, blowers, edgers and chainsaws. The compatible models are listed below. This part is made out of metal and a felt type material. This fuel filter is sold individually. To install this filter you will slide it onto the fuel line, then use a screw diver to position the clamp firmly over the nipple.

    Screwdriver, Pliers, 3 mm Allen wrench

    Primer Pump:
    NOTE - Empty fuel tank before starting any work. Next, be sure to clean area around the Primer Pump before you remove it to avoid dirt/debris from getting in the pump.
    1. Remove fuel tank guard/shield with a 3 mm Allen wrench.
    2. Remove screws holding the fuel tank to the motor with a Phillips screwdriver. DO NOT remove the fuel line from the tank. Just move the tank out of the way to have access to the Primer Pump bracket.
    3. Remove the Primer Pump bracket with a very small Phillips screwdriver.
    4. Install the new Primer Pump.
    5. Installed fuel tank.
    6. Installed fuel tank guard/shield.

    Air Filter:
    1. No tools required. Air filter cover knob can be removed by hand.

    Fuel Filter:
    1. Remove the fuel filler cap.
    2. Use a stiff gauge wire, or something you can "hook" the fuel line with, to pull it out of the fuel tank.
    3. Carefully pull the old fuel filter off by hand then install the new fuel filter.
    4. Install fuel line and filter back into the fuel tank.

    Fill fuel tank with fresh fuel/oil mixture.
    Prime pump and start.
    Check for fuel leaks around Primer Pump.

    Installed the carb repair kit, new tank grommet, new fuel filter, and tank vent. Had to adjust the high and low adjustments a bit, but now it starts and runs like a new one!

    Gasoline leaking from grommet in fuel tank. Old tubes also well worn. Time to replace air filter and spark plug too.

    1. Removed "foot" from the base of the motor.
    2. Removed pull starter.
    3. Removed fuel tank, all tubes, and grommet.
    4. Replaced grommet, tubes, and filters.
    5. Also replaced air filter and spark plug.
    No more leaks and unit runs well!

    Remove the fuel cap and reach in with a long pair of forceps and get a hold of the fuel line and pull it and the fuel filter out. Remove the old filter and connect the new filter, Then put it back in the tank and replace the fuel cap
    Remove the primer bulb cover and remove the old bulb and install the new one, then screw the cover back on.
    Remove the air filter cover and remove the old filter and install the new one, then replace the cover.

    replaced fuel filter, fuel line, fuel tank grommets, fuel tank vent and clip. Time required was to fix two machines. Very simple repair if you follow the directions

    1. Replaced the carburetor and installed the new gasket between the carburetor and the engine. (needed 2 gaskets so used the old gasket between the carburetor and the choke input.)
    2. Replaced the gas filter.
    3. Replaced the throttle cable.

    I replaced air and fuel filters and new spark plug. Once I completed repair saw would start but acted like it would run out of fuel. I let sit for 24 hours and then tried it and it has been running good ever since. I believe the new fuel filter takes time to become fully operational.
