The mandrel Bearings were worn out after 13 years of service, one driven pulley had spun out on the mandrel shaft, and the deck best needed to be changed out due to wear

I placed the mower in my garage where i could draine the oil from the engine, before i proceded to to lift the the mower @ the front wheels frame assembly to access and remove the Blades and the old belt. then i used my impace driver to remove the retaining nut from the old mandrels, then i remove all the bolts from the mandrels, the bolts were all self tapping and all twister off due to age. then when all the old parts were removed, i cleaned the deck to remove the debre.Note: i did not order the self tapping bolts for the mandrel replacement,i intendes to drill out the holes in the mandrels to accept a 5/16 x 2" grade 3 or 5 with flat and lock washers works well for this, then i bolted on the new manderls and tightened to required torque, then re place the already sharpened blades, and tightened to required torque.next i install the drive pullies and torqued to spect, then install the the deck belt and applied the tention to the belt, i did not have to use the idler spindle mine was still in good shape due to propre lubercation, next i lowered the mower and changed the oil, Att: don't forget to turn off your gas before you lift your mower from the front end the gas may run into the engine while standing up if you lift from the front end.
