This replacement item is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with Hitachi compound miter saws. It is an important piece of hardware responsible for handling on/off function of equipment. Because switches have internal mechanical part, over time they will break down requiring replacement. If a tool operates intermittently or requires multiple tries to turn on, replacing switch may resolve the issues. This switch is sold individually. Please note lock button part number 951-895 is sold separately.
To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver.
• First make sure the unit is not plugged in
• Remove housing pieces by removing screws
• Disconnect wires from the old switch
• Replace old switch with a new one
• Reconnect wires
• Reassemble and test the saw
