Handles on the Hitachi 10" miter saw have a safety switch that attracts abuse breaking it off
Take off 4 screws, remove handle, pop the new button into the new handle half, make sure you don't crush any wires and reassemble!

Safety button missing on saw
1. Removed housing on saw.
2. Found housing broken at safety button
3. Reassembled housing
4. Put new lock off button into place.
5. Works fine.
6. Order new handle housing for saw.

The safety guard spring was extremely smaller and weaker that my original spring!
I just replaced what I took off. It was not a hard fix. It was just extremely easy with this model.
