    OEM
I bought a mower from the boss with a Kohler 12.5 HP engine. Being that it was a corporate lawn mower with a blown head gasket, I did an oil change also. I figured that it would be best to use OEM parts. Fits perfect. Only problem is Kohler's design. the oil filter is upside down not like the average auto. when you take the oil filter off, you get oil all over.

    Annual maintenance on my Toro
I ordered fuel, oil, and air filters. It took two weeks, maybe more, to receive these parts. Guess I'm use to Amazon, but it seems like a very long time! Oil and air filters were correct, but the fuel filter was not the same as original equipment, size was larger and numbers are different, but I made it work! Not sure I would order from here again.

No fuel to carburetor, fuel pump not working properly.

Pulled fuel line off at carburetor and cranked engine over to determine the fuel pump output. Nothing coming from the fuel pump so checked to see if fuel was going from the fuel tank to the pump by pulling fuel line off the pump input side. Plenty of fuel available to the pump input side. So I determined the pump was not working and due to be replaced. New pump was installed using metal spacer because my application of the engine block mounting area was machined and smooth therefore requiring the additional metal spacer included in the new fuel pump kit from E-Replacements. After installing the new pump checked to see if fuel was getting to the carburetor which it was. Engine runs fine now and is ready for the mowing season.

I removed all of the parts on my tractor to allow me to remove the closure plate on top of the engine. Removed the closure plate and found the broken ACR spring. Turned the engine by hand until the timing marks on the camshafts and crankshaft were lined up. Removed the exhaust camshaft, removed the broken ACR spring and replaced it with the new spring. Before I put the closure plate back on the top of the engine, I turned the engine by hand to ensure that the ACR was working, the exhaust valve was opening slightly on the top dead center stroke. At this point, I finished putting my garden tractor back together. Starts and runs great after the repair.
