This replacement fuel filter is an authentic OEM sourced item that is specially produced for use with Kohler engines commonly installed on Toro lawn and garden equipment. Its purpose is to filter out any dirt and other contaminants from the fuel that goes into the carburetor. It will over time get clogged and restrict the fuel flow eventually requiring replacement. It is made from durable plastic and it is sold individually.

2. Oil filter - Drain engine oil. Remove old oil filter, fill new filter with fresh oil, install new oil filter. Refill engine with new oil.
3. Gas filter - Use pliers to squeeze hose clamps and slide about 2 inches away from each side of old gas filter. Remove old gas filter from gas hoses. Install new gas filter into gas hoses. Use pliers to squeeze hose clamps and slide to secure filter.
Engine would start cutting out and then it would quit running. Then it wouldn't start again until it cooled off.

2. Remove the old oil filter.
3. Install the new oil filter.
4. Add the oil.
5. Remove the old air filter.
6. Install the new air filter.
7. Remove the old fuel filter.
8. Install the new fuel filter.
The bolts fastening the grass catcher chute together needed replaced. I also serviced the mower by changing oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. New lights in headlamps.

Removed hood from mower by disconnecting wiring harness for headlamps and pulling hood off latch.
Drained engine oil and then removed oil filter.
Replaced new filter, then oil plug and refilled engine oil.
Took old fuel filter off on carburetor side first and put new filter on. Then removed old filter off fuel tank side and slid fuel line on to new filter. Very little fuel spill.
Removed cover to air filter and replaced old with new air filter. Reinstalled cover.
Took old headlamps out and replaced with new bulbs.
Reinstalled hood to mower and reattached wiring harness.
Lawn tractor was stalling and appeared to be out of gas but was not
