I want to replace the front wheel (734-04018A); everything I read and see indicates after I remove the center nut, the wheel should "shimmy" off rather easily... but it definitely does not. I can't budge this thing. Is there something obvious I am missing?

Spur Gear, 14T - RH - 917-04801
Drive Wheel - 734-04018C
Repair Difficulty:
Medium
Time Spent Repairing:
15-30 minutes
Tools Used:
Power Drill, Socket set, bits for 8 sided screws
Right wheel gear was worn and wheel was wobbly due to wheel teeth worn
Took both wheels off and used a 8 sided bit on both screws that hold gears on. I used a socket that fit the bit and used this on the left gear, then I used a power drill with the other bit on the right gear to break it loose so I could replace it. Also there is a pin that goes through the shaft that fits inside the gear when you reinstall the gear. It may fallout when you remove the old gear. Make sure you put it back in when you install the new gear or the wheel will not work.

    Proper part.
Perfect fit was fast to replace. Less than 15 min to remove. Cost was half of what local suppliers wanted including shipping. Have other yard equipment that also needs some repairs. Will definitely use ereplacement when getting around to it.
